I got a comment recently about feeling like what’s the point of writing? Who’s even going to read it? And about not feeling that writing is productive.
And I wanted to touch a few points on here in case anyone been feeling like this recently.
What you want wants you, and by ignoring your desires and what you want to do not only in the long term, but in the short term, you are doing yourself a disservice.
You are delaying your own growth and your happiness.
Making time to do what we love is both productive and brave. It takes a lot of courage to go against what we know and what feels familiar to us. I know it’s frustrating for a number of reasons, for example, I wished I could make a living out of writing, but I’m not there yet, that does not mean that it will never happen either.
You cannot control if someone reads what you write but if you don’t write you are making sure nobody ever reads it. You never know the impact you’ll have on someone.
Your writing is about you and for you.
Tell your story, someone will eventually find it
